Food Pantry Ministry

At Open Door Baptist Church, all of our ministries are founded on 3 principles.  These 3 principles are first, recognizing the need.  Secondly, we look for responsible leaders ministering to the need.  Thirdly, realizing that serving others is ultimately serving the Lord.

The Bible says in Matthew 25:35-40 “For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat:  I was thirsty, and you gave me drink.”   Vs. 40  “In as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

The ministry of the food pantry is our opportunity to help those financially burdened and to also share the love of Jesus Christ with them.  The Hartley family labor to make this ministry successful along with donations from our church family.
