Children’s Ministry
After just one visit to our church, you will notice the emphasis that is placed on children here. It starts with our Pastor and is present in every member of our church. We strongly believe in the words of the Lord when He said, “Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not…”
It still remains one of our priorities here at Open Door to reach children with the gospel of Jesus Christ and that we train them to become followers of Jesus Christ. Along with Bible teaching, we make serving the Lord fun with many activities, at church and away. We use puppets, allusions that are Bible based and contests to motivate the children’s desire to memorize God’s Word. We have Sunday school for all aged children with lessons on their level from God’s Word. Our children also enjoy children’s church every Sunday morning and “Kids for Christ” on Wednesday nights. We also minister in the Sunday evening service with our Kids Choir. Not only do our children sing, they testify and quote scripture.
